The Future is Uncertain Lets Make it Brighter Together

The Battle for Justice for E-Cigarettes The future is now for the fate of the vaping industry and the time to act may be short.  An area of rampant regulatory abuse the Trump Administration should attack is the war against e-cigarettes. Vaping has been a godsend for people who are trying to quit smoking. It gives users the kick from nicotine without inhaling all the tars and other substances that make smoking cigarettes so lethal. Yet a perverse mind-set reigns among health regulators and fanatical anti smoking crusaders against all Honest Scientific Evidence, they equate vaping with lighting up actual cigarettes. They claim, with no credible justification, that e-cigarettes are a gateway to the real thing. As an ex-smoker of 16 years who was not able to fully quit until beginning to vape,  the idea that my outlet for the cessation of smoking might be taken away in the future is downright terrifying.  Growing up in the 80s,  Tobacco was not the malevolent force that it has become today.  Inundated by ads glorifying smoking, my entire generation had little to no negative opinion of tobacco as a whole.  Beginning in my late teenage years, already a pack a day smoker,  the science was in and smoking was exposed for the true health risk that it is. Today the health risks of smoking are common knowledge. Tobacco use is vilified by not only the general public but by  smokers themselves.  Tobacco cessation is on the minds of most middle aged smokers.  Electronic cigarettes help people quit.  Extremely simple and to the point.  The story of the vape game is well known and the science is in, electronic cigarettes are orders of magnitude safer than analog cigarettes.  So why is the resistance to something that can only be seen as a positive to at risk middle aged chronic smokers so strong? The vaping industry could cease to exist in the near future (August 2018) if regulations do not change. The FDA's Current Standards will ban 99 percent of all vaping products by that date, in accordance with language in the 2009 Tobacco Control Act that requires any product produced after February 15, 2007, to submit equivalence applications. These applications are so expensive that they will result in small businesses across the country being forced to close. All of these regulations and laws came to pass under a different political climate.  Independent of your feelings for the president and the government as a whole,  none can disagree that the entire system has been turned on its head.  The 2016 election was monumental in terms of the change that can potentially be had.  A radically different House of representatives, Senate AND President taking control of the entire country in one election ensures that even if nothing does change it definitely CAN change. Join the Fight The people have spoken and the old ways pissed off a large percentage of them. Now is the time to make your voice heard.  Word of Mouth, Social Media, even the old school letter to your congressman.  A number of vaping advocacy groups have popped up recently that could use another voice. If you value a good vape that is legal but most importantly CHEAP,  join the fight before the suits take away our hobby for no reason other than the inaction of the silent majority. -------------------------------------------⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓--------------------------------------------                                                      WRITE YOUR REPRESENTATIVE -------------------------------------------⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑⇑-------------------------------------------- Simply type in your zip code and click the contact button.  This is by far the easiest way to get your voice heard! Let your local representative know how you feel so that we can move away from a silent majority into the loud and PROUD vapors of this country. Let them know that the FDA Deeming Authority Amendment are the steps we want to take.  Less strangling regulations and less taxation for the small business trying to service the local scenes across the country Below are also some links to advocacy groups you can check out with more information on how to get involved.
